WRITING COMPETITION

Presents the first
Su’eddie Agema Writing and Reading Competition
THEME: CONFLICT RESOLUTION
QUESTION: In not more than 700 words, write an essay on the title ‘Ways of resolving Conflict in Nigeria’
MODE OF SUBMISSION: All entries must carry the full name of the essayist, his/her class and school. submitted to the designated teacher on the top of this piece before the deadline (see below).
Entries would be collected from schools on 16th July, 2010.
PRIZES: 1st Position Cash + Certificate + Book + Publication of the essay in a Newpaper/Magazine
2nd and 3rd Positions: Cash + Book + Certificates
4th and 5th Positions: Certificates + Book + Consolation Prizes
NOTE: Letters of commendation would be written to the best three essays by renowned Nigerians.
DEADLINE: 15th July, 2010
SELECTION DETAILS:
1. Certificates would be issued to the schools of the top five Essayists.
2. The top five contestants would get certificates and their names posted online along with their schools and entries.
3. The five best entries would be shortlisted and their writers invited for an interview by a panel of Judges through their school authorities.
THIS COMPETITION IS OPEN TO SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN WUKARI, TARABA STATE ONLY!
